Transient Current Peak on Plasticized Polyvinylchloride Containing Absorbed Water

The mechanisms of the current peak observed in the current-time characteristics on plasticized polyvinylchloride containing absorbed water have been investigated. The results suggest that this peak is associated with the injection of protons released due to an anode-oxidation reaction. The apparent mobility has been roughly estimated to be about 3-5×10^<-9> cm^2/V・s for protons at 80℃.
