Technical problems on shield tunnels in recent years are subterranean water leaks at a depth with high pressure, and weakened segments due to the rotting ground. So we have developed "Wrapping Method" to solve these problems. "Wrapping Method" is a construction method which interrupts a segment from the ground by covering the whole surface of the segment with waterproof-sheet. Therefore it can build the shield tunnel with no leak of the excellent durability. It could confirm that "Wrapping Method" was excellent in the execution and the quality by enforcing an experiment. And, it could get prospects for the realization of "Wrapping Method".
