The dependence of reflection coefficients on the angle of incidence and the frequency, for the three typical kinds of marine sediments-silt, very fine sand, and medium sand, is calculated using the Biot-Stoll model. The effects of frequency on the angle of incidence characteristics are investigated and the difference between the frequency characteristics of the reflection coefficients for silt and for sand is demonstrated.
