Chemical models of the positive hole and hole pair in the p-type and copper-based superconductors with high T_c were proposed. Formation of the hole pair was expressed in a chemical reaction formula, O^-_1+O^-_1→(O_<2, 1>)^<2-> , where O^-_1 means that O^<2-> constituting a crystalline lattice is changed into O^- on capturing a positive hole, and the suffix 1 denotes that the species exists in the crystalline lattice. A peroxide ion is considered to be a model structure of the hole pair. The hole, O^-_1 , was treated as a five-electron system in discussing the mechansism of formation of the hole pair.
