An underground imaging method using shear waves was proposed and some improvements were made in the resolution. In spite of these improvements, there was a problem that an underground image spreads horizontally. This problem was solved by adopting the envelope display method. Further improvements were achieved by taking into account the influence of the surface wave and sound attenuation.
