• Thick film sandwich structures of Me-VP glass-Me (Me=Au, Al) have been prepared. The I-V characteristics are non-linear in all cases but thermal switching has been observed only in Al-VP glass-Al structure. Presence of VO_2 was identified from XPS studies in the vanadium phosphate glass in the post breakdown state.
