Three Phases in BiSrCaCuO Thin Films Synthesized by the Multilayer Deposition Method : Electrical Properties of Condensed Matter

Thin films of the BiSrCaCuO system have been synthesized by a multilayer deposition followed by annealing in oxygen. Three phases, two being pseudotetragonal with c lattice parameters of about 24 and 30 Å and one being an unestablished phase with T_c=100 K, have been confirmed in the thin films. The phase with c≃30Å (T_c =80 K) remarkably crystallizes by annealing at a lower temperature (865℃) than those (≧870℃) for other phases. Both phases with c≃24 and 30 Å grow with (001)-orientation parallel to the substrate surface. The best film has a T_c(onset) of 80 K and a T_c(zero) of 70 K.
