The interaction between carriers and optical mode phonons has been considered as one of the possible mechanisms of high-T_c superconductivity in ceramic superconductors. Criticism of the mechanism based on the geometrical properties of the Cu-O 2D lattice is re-examined. It is pointed out that the phonon exchange by hole carriers in the filled band which are made with the gap formation in the half-filled p-d hybridizing electronic state can cause the high-T_c superconductibity even when the special properties of the 2D lattice are taken into consideration.
