Co-doping effects for the fluorescence and lasing spectrum of Nd^<3+>-doped silica fibers have been studied. Alternating the concentration ratio between Nd^<3+> and P atoms, the peak lasing wavelength can be changed from 1.064 μm to 1.092μm. A fiber laser configuration which can increase the laser tuning range up to 93 nm at ^4F_<3/2>-^4I_<11/2> transition is proposed.
