The pressure in a solid medium is determined by means of isobaric measurement of the electrical resistance of tin as a function of temperature. The transition temperatures at the phase boundaries I(A4)→III(bct) and III→L(liquid) are used for evaluation of the pressure value by applying the pressure-temperature phase diagram of tin. It is shown that the pressure value is located approximately on the calibration curve obtained using the conventional calibration method in solid media with bismuth and barium as the pressure calibration materials.
