Delayed Neutron Emission from a Plasma Focus with a Titanium Disc Affixed on its Central Electrode

A low energy (2 kJ) plasma focus has been operated with central electrode end covered with 500 μm thick disk of titanium. When this electrode was suitably conditioned and the device was operated at negative voltage, neutron emission from the plasma focus was observed even ten seconds after the focus formation.
