An optical two-stage system with multi-imaging and thresholding is described in this paper to execute the parallel fuzzy logic function in disjunctive or conjunctive normal form. On this basis, the parallel fuzzy logic functions are suggested to process the images of continuous grey level. Examples are given on nonlinear transformation, thresholding, and comparison between two images.
