The dispersion relation and the wavelength of microwaves required to produce [ECR] plasmas in waveguides are calculated by approximate and exact equations. The maximum values of wavelengths are found at some values of ω^2_p/ω^2 near the plasma resonance where ω_c is slightly larger than ω. Here ω_p, ω_c and ω are, respectively, plasma, cyclotron resonance and applied frequencies. A wave can also propagate through a high density magnetized plasma in a waveguide with an extremely small diameter.
