In both bled and non-bled dogs under ketamine hydrochloride anesthesia, sinus tachycardia was sustained, but no particular irregularities were found in the cardiac rhythm. After ketamine anesthesia somewhat apparent changes occurred to ECG waves and ST deviation and the P-Q and Q-T interval (lead II) were relatively prolonged in the bled dogs, as compared with the non-bled dogs. The changes in EEG waves during ketamine anesthesia were of essentially the same pattern in the bled dogs as in the non-bled dogs, although the amplitude was lower in the former than in the latter.
