A new orthorhombic crystal, Ba_2Bi_<1/3>Nb_5O_<15> of the tungsten-bronze-type structure was found to be ferroelectric with a Curie temperature of 240℃. Large single crystals were grown by the method of pulling from a melt; also, dielectric measurements were made of the single crystals and their ceramic specimens.
