The internal stresses in amorphous Fe_<40>Ni_<40_>B_<20> alloy have been relieved by passing short duration current pulses through the samples. Temperature dependence (100 K≤ T <250 K) of magnetisation of the sample which shows maximum relaxation of internal stresses after heat treatment, has been measured under the influence of external tensile stresses. Analysing the experimental data on the basis of spin-wave theory, it has been observed that the saturation moment, spin-wave stiffness constant and range of interaction change with the application of external stresses.
