Distribution of Ignition Probability in a Heterogeneous Mixture

In order to investigate the regional ignitability in a heterogeneous combustible mixture, a method based on the stochastic ignition theory is developed. Applying this method to a spontaneous ignition in an n-octane spray injected into shock-heated air, a distribution of ignition probability and its variation in the spray are obtained.
