Applying a co-axial Marx generator with rectangular pulse across a constant load for the study of double-focusing-diodes, an impedance reduction and an increase in anode plasma density are observed. To achieve electron beam fusion, low-impedance diodes of impedance less than 1 Ω have been researched. The reduction of impedance accompanied by electron-beam double-focusing is important. It may be speculated that electron reflexing after focusing is required to lower the impedance and to increase the anode plasma density.
