Tensile deformation which appeared on the X-ray radiographs taken with the iron single crystal plates by the divergent X-ray method was investigated. In the broad Laue-spots on the X-ray radiographs, some kinds of striped patterns appeared in connection with the slips. When the deformation was caused by a single slip, one kind of straight pattern was detected uniformly. When is was caused by a single slip, one kind of straight pattern was detected uniformly. When it was caused by the double slip, two kinds of patterns or the complicated one was seen partly. From these striped patterns it was reaffirmed that the tensile deformation in iron single crystal plates was caused by the single slip or by the double slip of the {110}-<111> slip system. Broad Laue-spots and the white lines in the pseudo-Kossel pattern suggested that the slip deformation in iron single crystal plates was influenced by the sub-grain boundaries.
