Self-trapped filaments of laser and stimulated first-order Stokes Raman lights are investigated by a second-harmonic-generation technique of Hauchecorne and Mayer. The diameter, power density and other features of the filaments thus obtained agree with those which other workers obtained by the photographic method, and numerically some-what different from Hauchecorne and Mayer's ones. Both filaments seem to be unaffected by stimulated Raman scattering and to expand by diffraction after their formation.
