• An analysis is presented for the magnetohydrodynamic inclined slider bearing with an azimuthal magnetic field. It is found that significant increase in load carrying capacity can be achieved. The results are in contrast to those of Elco and Eughes in the case of a tangential or transverse applied magnetic field.
