600 A band emission of helium molecule and imprisonment of resonance lines of neon influence helium-neon laser operations. Vacuum U. V. measrurements and time resolved spectroscopy were made, and the influence of the vacuum U. V. emission on laser operations were investigated. It is concluded that oscillation intensity of the 6328 A laser is reduced by the emission of the helium molecule 600 A band and the imprisonment of the cascade of neon suppress the laser operations.
