The peak shift of diffraction spot of martensite single crystals in an Fe-30.6 wt% Ni alloy was measured by using X-ray micro-beams. The character of the shift was analysed, taking account of the shifting effect of stacking faults on {112}_α' with the spacing modulation, and there still remained the large shift which may be attributed to the residual strains due to the transformation, and it is proposed that the residual transformation strains are the main cause of the shift. The result obtained in this survey are compared with the previous paper (I).
