The versatility of a variable-energy cyclotron has been examined in an experiment which involves extensive energy variations with minute intervals. Excitation functions have been obtained for the ^<93>Nb(p, ny)^<93>Mo reaction at E_p=3.0-8.0 MeV. The minimum energy interval realized is about 10 keV.
