The properties and structure of 2-propanol-water crystal were studied in connection with its phase transition. The molar ratio of 2-propanol to water in the crystal was 1:3. The dielectric constant of pure water, pure 2-propanol, and an aqueous solution of 2-propanol whose molar ratio of 2-propanol to water was l :3, was studied in the region between -100℃ and -20℃, at frequencies l kHz and 30 kHz. Some sharp changes of the dielectric constant corresponding to the phase transition of the crystal and to that of 2-propanol were observed. According to the X-ray studies, the crystal system, lattice constant, and space group in the higher temperature phase are: cubic, 12.60 Å, and T^1_h - Pm3 or T^1 - P23, respectively. As to the X-ray diffraction pattern in the lower temperature non-cubic phase no appreciable difference from that in the higher temperature phase was observed.
