• The results of a study on the decay of homocharge in Perspex (polymethyl methacrylate) thermoelectrets formed under different fields are presented. It is observed that this decay is strongly influenced by the field strengths employed in formation. It seems that the homocharge in Perspex is not necessarily confined to a shallow region near the electrodes but penetrates to different depths depending on the polarization conditions.
