• Lubricating qualities of micropolar fluids are examined analytically by analysing the problems of (i) composite slider bearing and (ii) step slider bearing with micropolar fluid as lubricant. In both problems a detailed study of the load supporting capacity and skin friction has been carried out with the help of numerical computations.
