A method of measuring the diffusion coefficient of the antistatic agent permeating through the polyethylene film by observing the time dependence of the surface conductivity of the film is proposed. The diffusion coefficients of six kinds of agent which are obtained by fitting theoretical curves to the experimental points of the surface currents range from 1.1×10^<-11> cm^2/sec to 9.1×10^<-13> cm^2/sec at 22℃ and 2.6×10^<-9> cm^2/sec at 58℃. The life-time of the antistatic effects is estimated by using the observed diffusion coefficient.
