A new simple structure of the laser cavity with low thermal expansion is made. A stable laser with this cavity has been developed to be used in a wide range of environmental temperatures. Frequency stability of the laser of which temperature is controlled is ±5.5 parts in 10^8 during a 25-hour period during which the variation of environmental temperatures was controlled to ±1.5 degree after the warm-up time of 30 minutes following a stand-by condition. Frequency resettability of this laser is described, and the causes of frequency instability are discussed.
