Dependence of saturation parameter S_0 on the discharge current is measured at both 0.63μm and 3.39μm lines of a He-Ne gas laser. The experimental value of S_0 at a discharge current of 20mA on the 0.63μm line is 9.6±1.5 W/cm^2 for the 1.45 torr total gas pressure in a 2.0 mm ID laser tube. The value of S_0 at 6 mA on the 3.39μm line is 5.8±1.2 mW/cm^2 for the 2.4 torr pressure in a 1.05 mm ID tube. The experimental results show that the saturation parameter increases with the discharge current and are in fair agreement with the theoretical results.
