Aging behavior of Co-10 at.% Be alloy was investigated with Vickers hardness measurement, X-rays, optical and electron microscopy. In the specimen quenched from homogenizing temperature, hcp and retained fcc matrices exist. Agings were performed at 300, 400, 500 and 600℃. The structure change occurred in the sequence of GP zone formation and three types of discontinuous precipitation. The crystal structure of the precipitate was CoBe of CsCl type. The matrix of the continuously precipitated region above 400℃ was supposed to be fcc. The hcp transformation during cooling to room temperature was hindered by the presence of GP zone and precipitates. Besides quench-aging, direct-aging was also conducted after homogenization. Aging sequence was the same as that in fcc matrix of quench-aged specimen. The striation was observed by electron microscope parallel to the traces of {110} planes of the clustered fcc matrix, as in Cu-Be and Ni-Be alloys.
