• The Intelligent Transport System (ITS) unifies drives, road networks and vehicles through state-of-the-art information and telecommunications technologies. An outline of ITS in Japan has been presented based on several ITS service systems such as VICS, ETC with DSRC technology. 5.8 GHz-DSRC is introduced as one of leading technology for road-vehicle and inter-vehicle communication and the others of telecommunications technologies are commented as near future research tasks.
