A condenser cooling sea water discharged from a nuclear power plant has been diffused by thermally-stratified shear flow at temperature rise of the order of 7℃ into the sea area. In this analysis it is made to analyze the heat flux correlations <u_iθ>^^^- in local equilibrium turbulent flow based on the transport equation for the heat flux. In the past studies, the heat flux correlations are analyzed based on eddy diffusion coefficient. The purpose of the present paper is to prove this heat flux analysis for its validity on basis of the experimental basic data for one-dimensional stratified turbulent flow of thermal effluent. The one-dimensional characteristics are analyzed based on turbulent Prandtl number, vertical and stream-wise heat flux correlation coefficients with Richardson number.
