Author showns the numerical method of responese analysis on the vibration of steel arched frame due to strong earthquake motion by using the electric digital computer, and discussed the accuracy of the displacement according to response spectrum, the influence of the stresses due to horizontal and vertical of the ground motions and the distribution of the seismic coefficient. This paper is the second report of the series on the dynamic response analysis of space structures by earthquakes. These results are as follows : (a) In case of the calcutation of displacement of the steel arched frame from the response spectrum get near the actual displacement by extracting the square roat in the sum of self multiplation. (b) It is shown that the maximum bending moment in the steel arched frame exceles due to horizontal ground motions. (c) It is shown that the maximum axial force in the steel arched frame exceles due to vertical ground motions. (d) It is shown that the maximum shearing force of the column in the steel arched frame is larger about 2.0〜2.5 than arch. (e) It is shown that the distribution of the seismic coefficient in the steel arched frame is similar to the mode shape of the excellent period due to earthquakes.
