• The problem considered is the forces and moment upon a submerged hydrofoil which is moving at the same speed and in the same direction as an infinite train of waves.The expressions for the lift, wave resistance and moment are carried to the second order and numerical calculations are made. Curves are given showing the variation of the characteristics for various phase of waves and Froude number. And also the comparisions with the corresponding value in still water are made.
