Reversed bending fatigue tests in sea water under the impressed current cathdic protection were carried out. The lower the electrochemical potential the higher the fatigue limit, and in spite of a large quantity of absorbed hydrogen, no deterioration of the fatigue strength was observed. It is supposed that the distorion of the lattice structure produced by the absorved hydrogen is favorable to the fatigue. Relations between potential, cathodic current and applied stress were also considered.
