Slender body theory is applied to the calculation of streamlines around a ship's hull and shows how the form of the frame lines influences the stream flow surrounding the hull surface. The validity of this approximate theory is ascertained by application to an Inuid. Reference is also made to streamlines around typical hull forms, and to problems caused by a flat bottom.
