A turbulent boundary layer is formed on a body surface in viscous fluid flow and develops rapidly towards the after end of body. Displacement of potential flow by the boundary layer is important on the after part. The flow is corrected for the displacement by the source distribution on the surface. Boundary layer characteristics are calculated with the corrected flow, as second order calculation. Momentum thickness, shape parameter, surface cross-flow angle, local skin friction and viscous resistance are determined. As an example, calculation is made for a double model of streamlined ship in deep water at Reynolds number 10^6. Results obtained are in better agreement with the experimental results than results of conventional calculation. The viscous pressure, frictional and viscous resistances are calculated. The viscous resistance calculated is in accordance with the experimental result. Therefore it is concluded that the present method improves the accuracy of the calculation of three-dimensional boundary layer.
