Theories of equilibrium, stability and transport of field-reversed configurations (FRCs) are reviewed briefly. The MHD equilibrium, which represents well equilibria of the present FRCs, and the new trials, which include both effects of the particle source and the seed current due to the neutral beam injection and due to the fusion produced protons with 15 MeV, are shown. The rotational mode, the tilting mode and the local mode are discussed. The suppression mechanism of these instabilities due to the ion beam with high energy is also discussed. As for confinement, the experimental results including the recent LSX data and the transport theory due to the dissipative low frequency drift wave are shown.
