This paper presents a method to solve quasi-optical problems for designing high-power millimeter wave transmission lines consisting of circular waveguides and curved reflectors. In the calculation, the radiation wave functions are expanded in series of circular waveguide mode functions by introducing a virtual waveguide. The present method has been applied to calculate the wave field for ev3.1uating the power losses due to diffractions and mode conversions in a quasi-optical bend (miter bend) . The main advantage is in saving computation time in comparison with the calculations based on Huygens' principle.
