The rotation of neutron stars with strong magnetic fields induces huge electric fields in the magnetosphere, which accelerate charged particles to more than 10^<12>eV. High energy particles radiate TeV photons through the inverse compton and curvature radiation processes, which produce electron-positron pairs in the magnetic and electric fields. Each member of the pair radiates synchrotron photons, many of which produce a secondary generation of pairs. This cascade process continues until the synchrotron photons are no longer energetic to produce pairs. The emitted photons are observed as pulses due to the relativistic beaming and stellar rotation. Here we present an overview on the particle acceleration and photon emission in the magnetosphere of neutron stars.
