• Production Management System (PMS) is the core of CIMS. One important aspect of CIMS research is how to make and develop suitable PMS system. The author in this article advances a new PMS model-Integrated Production Management System (IPMS), through comparing and analyzing three kinds of PMS models : MRP, JIT, OPT. IPMS divides PMS into tri-hierarchical structures. They are planning level, scheduling and controlling level and executing level. IPMS fully gets the advantages of MRP, JIT, OPT, ES and Pattern Recognition technology (PR), which improve the whole performances of the system.
