Computer vendors, system integrators and consulting firms have been endeavoring to develop new methods to analyze business process and data, and to design computer based information systems. Each method has (a)a definition. (b)a discipline and (C)many uses(Mayer 1992). The main purpose of these methods is to offer technical skills for information engineering. In order to device system development process efficiently, many CASE tools are also available. Though habitual users of CASE tools are system professionals(just like system analysts or consultants), business professionals (end-users) also have a chance to use them, even though they don't have enough technical skills for information engineering. We discuss (1)the possibilities of applying these tools to end-users directly (2)the kinds of problems which arise, and (3)inductive learning steps to master data oriented approach.
