As new IT has emerged, public sector employs this for its competitiveness as private sector does.Each community has also adopted advanced IT for Region Informatization(地域情報化).However, because the concept of this was confined to the local information service, the operation of the center which realizes the region informatization has problems for integration of surrounding systems such as local government administration information system and industry supporting systems.This paper suggests new definition of region informatization and gives new architecture for related information systems and strategic issues about three community entities:local government, local industry, and local citizen.Also to show new approach on region informatization, this paper concentrates the entity of local citizens, and conducts an survey on information need of local citizens.
