The design in 21^<st> century has stepped out of arts and developed as 'total ability' that is to solve variety problems of living. Especially, a brand new guide post is required on the children education because the value of the talent in 21^<st> century is on creativity, in other words, total ability that is getting more important to deal with variety and complex situations properly. Design education has turned into the 'design based education' for developing creative situation-solving power on the base of 'designerly way of thinking', includes experience of plentiful real creative activity and is to train the ground to lead the future society. The purpose of this study is developing design education contents as 'total education'. This study proposes the children total education as 'creative expression through creative situation-solving process' with workshops of design categories and processes. Korean govemment supports this study to develop the source book as a teaching material for children design education and I hope this study could be a help to make good children design education.
