Four phospholipids of Avena coleoptile tissue were identified as phosphatidyl inositol, phosphatidyl glycerol, phosphatidyl ethanol-amine and phosphatidyl choline. IAA caused an increase in total uptake of ^<32>P and incorporation of ^<32>P in phospholipids. IAA also caused a shift in the proportions of identified <32>P phospholipids. Incorporation of <32>P into phosphatidyl choline was greater while incorporation into phosphatidyl glycerol and phosphatidyl ethanolamine was less in IAA-treated tissue compared with untreated control tissue.
