Changes in the protein composition of leaves of the short day plant Amaranthus caudatus f. caudatus were investigated following exposure of the plants to photoperiodic conditions that induce flowering. Contrary to a previous report, no obvious changes were detected in the leaf proteins by SDS-PAGE and silver staining.
