Isolated wheat (Triticum aestivum L. cv Norin 61) etiochloroplasts synthesized membrane polypeptides of 34, 33 and 30 kDa which were resolved by lithium dodecyl sulfate polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis at 4℃. One-dimensional peptide-mapping analysis, as well as differential labelling with (^3H)-lysine or (^<35>S)-methionine, showed that the 34- and 30-kDa polypeptides are atrazine-binding proteins of the PSII reaction center.
