Under continuous light, flowering of Pharbitis seedlings was not induced by abscisic acid (ABA) treatment. Under short day treatment, flowering was slightly enhanced by ABA at 0.2 and 0.4 mg/liter. Stem elongation was considerably inhibited by 25 and 50 mg/liter of ABA irrespective of day length.
