概要

The ultra high speed imaging system, covering the range from 10,000fps to 100,000,000fpe and over, is essential to study ultra fast phenomena such as shock wave research, high voltage discharge, combustion and injection research, etc. Recently, several new systems incorporate modern electronics design like PC-based operation, high resolution CCD read out, improved image converter technology, are introduced. The concept of these up-to-date systems are illustrated. Topics of the solid state ultra high speed imaging devices are also mentioned.
